Easter is this weekend and you are wondering what wines to pair with your holiday meal. I would like to suggest that a rosé wine pairs well with everything. Rosé wines typically have high acidity and nice red fruit flavours that are very complimentary for many dishes. I also recommend an aromatic white wine. These wines usually have higher acidity and fresh fruit flavours that are again complimentary to many Easter dishes. Roast chicken or ham, plus vegetables and mashed or scalloped potatoes are probably on the menu for many people. Two wines I have in my cellar that I think would work well for an Easter meal are BC’s Fort Berens Estate Winery, Here & There, Rosé 2024, made from Syrah grapes from WA state, and Hester Creek Estate Winery Pinot Gris Viognier 2025 from estate grapes. If you cannot easily get these wines at your local wine shop, pick another BC rosé, Pinot Gris, or Viognier wine. Here are my notes for these two wines, sans decanting.
My Wine Tasting Notes

Where Can I Buy These Wines?
BC Liquor stores carry a range of Fort Berens’ wines. A selection of Fort Berens’ wines are also available at select Save on Foods stores.
Their Here & There wines are all available for purchase online at the Fort Berens’ website.
I did not see the Hester Creek Estate Winery Pinot Gris Viognier 2025 on their website, so maybe it is coming out soon. I just received the wine to review a few days ago. Watch for it as it is very tasty. You typically can buy their wines via their website, at Everything Wine stores, and select Save on Foods stores.
