BC’s Mayhem Wines has sparkling wines in 250 ml cans for you to enjoy this summer. I received their Sparkling White 2023 and Sparkling Rose 2023 wines and on a warm summer day enjoyed tasting and reviewing them for you. Here are the details.
My Wine Tasting Notes
Mayhem Wines Sparkling White 2023 (BC $88.32 for a 12 pack)
This sparkling wine is a blend of Pinot Gris, Sauvignon Blanc, and Riesling.
Appearance: A clear, bright, medium-minus intensity straw colour. Larger bubbles in the glass.
Nose: Medium-intensity aromas of mostly ripe stonefruit along with touches of floral, citrus skin and grape stem toastiness.
Palate: It is off-dry, medium-plus body and flavour intensity. Mostly ripe sweet stone fruit flavours with touches of floral, citrus, and herbaceousness. It is round with a thicker mouthfeel; mouth-filling. Creamy, medium sized-bubbles. Medium-plus acidity. Some stoniness that gets stronger toward the finish.
Finish: A medium-plus length finishing off-dry but still with bright acidity to the end. Stoniness and ripe sweet stone fruit flavours and some grape stem bitterness to add interest.
Rating: 
This is a refreshing sparkling wine. I enjoy the stone fruit aromas and flavours. The bubbles nicely fill your mouth.
Mayhem Wines Sparkling Rosé 2023 (BC $88.32 for a 12 pack)
This sparkling rosé wine is a blend primarily made of Merlot. I do not have information about the other red grapes that go into this wine but guess Cabernet Franc as this grape variety is used in their Cabernet Merlot red wine.
Appearance: A bright, clear medium-intensity red cherry colour with larger bubbles in the glass.
Nose: Medium-minus intensity aromas of candy apples, red cherries, red apples, and raspberries.
Palate: This wine is slightly off-dry, fuller body with a thicker mouthfeel. Medium-plus acidity leaves acidic prickle in your mouth. There are smaller bitting bubbles that dissipate quickly in your mouth. Light tannins.
Finish: A medium-plus length finishing with candy apple, red cherries, raspberries, a touch of bitterness and medium-intensity drying tannins.
