Flat Rock Cellars Twisted Red 2019 (ON $26.50)
Happy Friday of a Canadian long weekend! Who wants to get Twisted with a gorgeous red blend from Flat Rock Cellars?
Last week I shared the incredible sustainability practices that Flat Rock has in place, so let’s just focus on the wine for this one.
I’m a sucker for a good red, and sometimes a red blend just hits the spot. This is especially true when you have rainy summer days where you want some comfort wine, but nothing too decadent.
Flat Rock’s Twisted Red is a blend of Gamay, Merlot, Cab Franc, and Pinot Noir (weird to see Pinot Noir in a blend, no?)
Aromas of juicy red fruits, sundried tomato, violets, and cedar dominated. And the aromas carried through on the palate, melding together in a perfectly twisted way with a long finish. No complaints over here!
