Our Story

Noble Ridge Vineyard & Winery view

Noble Ridge Vineyard & Winery lays in the Okanagan Valley at the northern most tip of the only desert in Canada. The winery is named for the noble varieties of grapes grown and the ridge that divides the land on which they thrive. But this noble name is more than just a nod to the land. It’s a statement of values and a reminder of the hard work and dedication on which the winery was built.

Jim and Leslie D’Andrea began their winery in 2001. When they purchased the property it had only 3.5 acre of vines. Since then they have planted an additional 18 acres and have grown their dream into an award-winning winery. Tending to vineyards and making the wines is all done by hand on site by a team of dedicated workers who strive every day to create exceptional wine that reflects its noble namesake. Guests are always welcome to enjoy the breathtaking views with a picnic overlooking Vaseux Lake or to spend time exploring the vineyard with a tour.

  • 2012 Reserve Chardonnay – Notes of apple, pineapple, mango and citrus are complimented by hints of toasted bread and toffee! A nice acidity makes for a clean, balanced finish. You will find this medium bodied Chardonnay to have a smooth, velvety mouthfeel and good structure.
  • 2014 Reserve Pinot Noir – Aromas of fresh field berries are complimented by a subtle earthiness. Beautifully integrated oak notes lend a hint of caramel and it finishes with a soft spiciness lingering on the palate.
  • 2013 Reserve Meritage – Aromas of ripe plum, black cherry and cassis will tantalize the palate. Subtle hints of sweet cedar and leather lead into bold flavors of ripe dark fruits – blueberry and blackberry jam. Firm tannins are well-integrated with perfectly balanced acidity and oak. Cocoa and herbs followed by lingering red berry flavors. Cabernet Sauvignon giving a structural aspect and contributing black currant flavors, anise and a touch of mint. The addition of Cabernet Franc and Malbec are relatively new to this Noble Blend, the 2012 being the first vintage. These two varietals add beautiful depth and complexity.
  • 2015 Pinot Grigio – Tantalizing aromas of grilled peach and fresh citrus fruit are complimented by a subtle minerality. Kissed with oak, this Pinot Grigio presents a rich mouth-feel with great depth and complexity. A harmonious combination of Okanagan orchard fruit and refreshing grapefruit notes grace the palate, elegantly lingering. The finish is crisp, clean and invigorating.

Celebrating Canada’s 150th :

  • 2015 Mingle (White Blend) – The award-winning white blend is made of predominately unoaked Chardonnay and Gewürztraminer with a touch of Pinot Gris. Mingle is the perfect patio wine, aromatic and bursting with tropical and orchard fruit notes. It is made entirely in stainless steel allowing the fruit notes to truly shine. This slightly off-dry wine helps highlight the complex fruit but still allows for a refreshing, clean, crisp finish.
