My Tasting Notes
Dirty Laundry Hush White 2019 (BC $16.99 on sale) – a blend of Gewurztraminer, Riesling, and Sauvignon Blanc from Summerland fruit. Medium straw colour that also has bubbles on the sides of the glass. It is very youthful with aromas of lime, lychee, lemon and tropical fruits. This wine is off-dry, round, full bodied and mouth-filling. Lots of bright acidity, and acidic prickle on the tongue, to accentuate the tropical fruits, pear and peach flavours. Decanting tones down the acidity and I like it a bit more to sip. This wine feels steely toward the finish. On the finish you get tropical fruit and peach then some blackcurrant leaf. An off-dry, tart finish. Enjoy with some soft cheese, like Havarti, oysters on the half shell, or a cream based pasta.

Dirty Laundry Hush Rosé 2019 ($17.99 on sale) – Merlot, Pinot Noir, and Cabernet are combined with a cold soak of Pinot Gris on skins for 12 – 24 hours before fermentation. This wine has a medium intensity bright salmon colour. Medium intensity nose showing fresh strawberries, sweet red berries and some tropical fruit. It is off-dry with medium body and acidity. Round but not overly acidic. Red fruits, tropical fruits, strawberries and banana on the palate that goes to the finish. Thicker mouthfeel. Decanting had no major effect, just lighter acidity and the addition of some violet flavour. This wine finished with a mix of red fruit, tropical fruit and bananas, along with some pepperiness and tart acidity. I think smoked salmon or a summery salad would work well here.
