Probably one of the first iconic wines of BC has to be Black Hills Estate Winery’s Nota Bene. Black Hills Estate Winery usually throws a big public party to launch their latest Nota Bene vintage.
This year, with safety and social distancing in mind, the winery is taking the party online, and to make it special for their customers, is including some of Canada’s most celebrated personalities, all to applaud the 20th anniversary of Nota Bene.
Customers who purchase 12 bottles of the 2018 Nota Bene vintage will receive the special access to the 20thAnniversary Virtual Nota Bene Release Party, held online on July 17.
The exclusive party will feature a live music performance by recording artist, Steven Page, joined in conversation by Jason Priestley, Erin Cebula, Prevail and 2018 Winter Olympic gold medal winner, Kelsey Serwa. Winemaker Ross Wise MW (Master of Wine) will kick off the party with a guided tasting of the 2018 vintage.
With the purchase of 12 bottles of the 2018 vintage, customers will also receive a gift certificate to book a VIP Cabana tasting at Black Hills Wine Experience Center. For those that purchase 24 or more bottles, they will receive an entry to win a vacation package for a three-night stay at the Black Hills Wine Lodge.
The 2018 Nota Bene vintage is already gathering whispers of acclaim, and it is expected to sell quickly. The public can place their orders HERE.

There was a remarkable sellout of the 2018 Nota Bene, and now, the winery has responded.
For those that missed getting their hands on this popular vintage, the winery has accelerated the release of the Nota Bene 2018 large formats: magnums (1.5L) and 3L bottles. (These wines aren’t usually released until August, but due to large demand for access to the exclusive online activities, it is on sale early for the first time ever.) They can be purchased HERE.
Those who buy any size of 2018 Nota Bene by July 14 will gain entrance to the virtual party.
2018 Nota Bene buyers can also keep the fun going by browsing through 10 online rooms at the official online after party. Rooms include a live performance from country singer Julianna Laine, a DJ set from Chole Morgan, an on-the-crush-pad networking session, Q & A session with winemaker Ross Wise, and more fun options.
