THE 2019 GALIANO WINE & BEER TASTING FESTIVAL ON SATURDAY, AUGUST 10 2019 1 – 4 PM.
Venue: Lion’s Field on Burrill Rd, right next to the Galiano Health Clinic
It is a fun event for a worthwhile cause – to raise money to cover the operating costs of the Galiano Health Clinic. The festival takes place at the Lions Field, which is a pleasant 20 minute walk from the ferry and Sturdies Bay village.
Informal, fun and relaxing, the wine and beer tasting festival is an open-air event that is a wonderful way to spend a summer afternoon with old and new friends. The price of the entrance fee includes unlimited tasting, a crested crystal wine glass, fresh-made finger food, a silent auction and entertainment.
We will have some Galiano musicians playing to accompany our friendly conversation. There is plenty of room to move around and lots of cool places to relax. You’ll have plenty of time to talk with the wine and beer merchants and makers, and no long wait for wine and beer you wish to taste.
The Galiano Island Bookstore booth provides an opportunity to browse for wine and food-related books at your leisure. This year a variety of local artists will show and sell their original artwork. Galiano Coffee will be there again with their fabulous locally roasted beans.
All wine and beer offered for sampling are affordable, including many wonderful British Columbia boutique wines found at the Galiano Garage and the Corner Store both near the ferry terminal.
