The Jalousie Beaulieu vineyards are in a small commune called Galgon, close to the Fronsac hillsides, 10 km from Saint Emilion. It is a family vineyard since 1910.

Philippe Person has been managing the vineyards with his wife Agnès for many years. They are slowly retiring to let their son Pierre Person take over the management – Pierre represents the 6th generation.

A team of 18 employees is involved on a daily basis. The property represents 200 hectares of vines in the Bordeaux Supérieur appellation and 40 hectares of meadows, ponds and forests. Château Pascaud is one of their vineyards – it is a 27ha property. Around 140 000 btl are produced each year for both cuvées.

Vignobles Jalousie Beaulieu Château Pascaud 2023 – Bordeaux Supérieur AOC – 100% Merlot. The nose expresses notes of blueberry-like black fruit complemented by notes of brioche. The palate deploys a generous and sweetish body endowed with silky tannins of  great elegance and lovely volume. The finish is long and lingering with aromas of cocoa and vanilla. Can easily be cellared for 7 to 10 years.

Vignobles Jalousie Beaulieu Château Pascaud Réserve 2022 – Bordeaux Supérieur AOC – 100% Merlot. The highly expressive aromatic bouquet releases lovely notes of black fruit with blackberry aromas, followed by luscious notes of chocolate and vanilla. The palate unfolds with great precision. The wine is unctuous and offers up a big, firm body,  with a great richness and a wonderful overall balance. The wine lingers on the finish with silky and complex aromas. Can easily be cellared for 10 to 15 years.
