Pink Spritz: Bottega Introduces The Non-Alcoholic Spritz

You may recognize Bottega Prosecco bottles by their metallic covering.  They developed a non-alcoholic wine called Bottega Sparkling Life Rose, which is available at BC Liquor Stores for $9.79.  But you can use this non-alcoholic wine to also make a mocktail.  Below is a Press Release from Bottega on their “Pink Spritz” mocktail.  Should be nice for our hot summer weather. The culture of mixed drinks has since long included in its world the so-called mocktails, i.e. non-alcoholic cocktails, which satisfy the taste buds of those who occasionally or by habit do not consume alcohol. These zero-alcohol variants have rapidly established themselves and can now be found on the drink lists of the best cocktail bars.
These new drinking habits prompted the Bottega winery in Bibano di Godega (TV) last year to start the production of two effervescent non-alcoholic drinks, which evoke the rituality of sparkling wine and which have been highly appreciated by the market. During the summer of 2022, the Treviso-based company launched Pink Spritz, an innovative non-alcoholic spritz whose main ingredient is Bottega 0 Rosè, the alcohol-free ‘spumante’ in a rosé version.
The recipe for Pink Spritz includes the following ingredients: 100 ml Bottega 0 Rosé, 100ml pink grapefruit juice, ice.
Preparation: Fill a wine glass one third full with ice cubes, or alternatively use a large long-stemmed glass. Add 100 ml Bottega 0 Rosé and then 100 ml pink grapefruit juice. Stir for about 30 seconds and garnish with a slice of dried pink grapefruit, a spedino of blueberries and a mint leaf.
