It’s official. I’ve received my Media accreditation for the Vancouver International Wine Festival 2020. As part of the accreditation, I will be attending various events. Besides meeting winery principals and tasting their wines, I’m always happy to chat with anyone that has an interest in wine. So if you are going to attend some events this year, remember France is the theme country!, please say Hi to me.
Public Events Where Will You Find Me
The big International Festival Tasting Room is where I will be spending a lot of time.
Thursday, February 27th from 7:00pm-10:00pm
Friday, February 28th from 7:00pm-10:00pm
Saturday, February 29th from 2:30pm – 5:00pm
Saturday, February 29th from 7:00pm-10:00pm
I typically spend all of Thursday and most of Friday at the theme country tables (France), and later Friday and Saturday visiting the rest of the wineries from around the world.
Will you be attending any dinners? I will be at the Taste of Croatia dinner at Atlas Steak + Fish in Burnaby on Tuesday, February 25. As I mentioned in a previous article, this is going to be an interesting dinner as we get to taste wines made from indigenous grapes from Croatia paired with a great looking menu from Atlas Steak + Fish. Tickets for this dinner are still available. Here is the link for details about the dinner and to buy tickets.
Do you also like to learn more about wine? There are many seminars that you can attend. I will be at:
- LANGUEDOC WITH GÉRARD BERTRAND on Wednesday, February 26th (Trade Only)
- EMILIA-ROMAGNA’S NATIVE GRAPES on Friday, February 28th (Trade Only)
- THE GLOBAL CRU on Saturday, February 29 (Public) Tickets for this event are still available. Buy your tickets here.
I’m looking forward to attending these events and meeting many interesting winery principals from around the world, and talking to you if you introduce yourself to me. Enjoy!
