I visited TIME Family of Wines winery, tasting room, and restaurant in September. And had a great time. Lots of delicious wines for you to enjoy and the chef is on-point. I received this press release from TIME Family of Wines about what is new and I’d like to share it with you. Enjoy.

As autumn is upon us, the team at TIME Family of Wines has news to share. New members have joined the team, including the appointment of a new chef (with new menu items rolling out), along with the release of new wine vintages that perfectly pair.

Red Wine Lovers, Rejoice:

A new Chronos lineup is being released this fall including a Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Syrah, Malbec, Merlot, Syrah, and Petit Verdot. This is a particularly exciting wine release for veteran winemaker Lynzee Schatz as since Lynzee joined the team, these are the first red wines that she has skillfully shepherded from start to finish. From harvest and crush to fermentation and bottling, many months pass before these wines are ready. Now the team is excited for people to taste the lineup, as the gossip from behind the scenes is that while she is excited for all of the new wines to come, the Cabernet Franc put the biggest smile on Lynzee’s face when she tasted it right before being bottled.

And there are even more smiles: Early praise from more than one critic scores the Cabernet Franc at 91 Points.

“I am excited to release and share the 2020 Chronos red wines which will be the first red wines for the Chronos label,” says Schatz. “Particularly the Petit Verdot, which was picked originally to be a blending component in our Meritage and ended up being so outstanding that we let it stand on its own”.

Wine club members received the new wines in September, and the public now has much-anticipated access.

Embrace Bold New Flavours:

Developing a new menu that showcases the creativity of the kitchen, executive chef Damian Cole leads with new dishes that pair perfectly with the TIME Family of Wines portfolio. The initial menu changes to include jerk chicken tacos with house-made jerk spiced pulled chicken and Okanagan fruit salsa, alongside the new tasty and tangy vegan-friendly Triple-Dip have made diners excited for the other new high-calibre dishes.

Look for new dishes from chef Damian such as coconut curry clams made with roasted peppers, grilled focaccia tomatoes & micro coriander, and the 8 oz steak and street corn, served with roasted tomatoes, pickled red onion and chimichurri.

Expect to return again and again to try all the dishes.

And everyone who loves the award-winning TIME burger can relax, it’s not going anywhere. The tasty Original Burger with its famous house ground chuck & brisket patty, pacific rock cheese, and bacon jam, will be on the menu indefinitely.

Say Hello to Some New Faces:

The TIME Family of Wines team is growing, with new faces to meet in the Penticton winery and restaurant, and at the District Wine Village location. Talented and experienced team members bring a wealth of knowledge and friendly hospitality.
Working behind the scenes in Penticton is executive chef Damian, along with sales and marketing director Kevin Curtis, direct to consumer coordinator Will Roberts, and lead cellar hand Maja Syska. When dining in the TIME Winery & Kitchen, restaurant manager Tom Swope will be there to welcome you.

When you visit the District Wine Village location, event and corporate sales coordinator Kelly Mitchell will make sure you have a top-tier tasting.

District Wine Village:

At the District Wine Village in Oliver, TIME Family of Wines’ second location is as lively as ever. With tasting opportunities daily from 12 pm until 6 pm, expect to see and taste new vintages and food on the weekends, such as jerk chicken tacos from chef Damian. From a weekly night market to live music from amazing artists, the District Wine Village is a must-visit destination.
