You Can Be a Wines of BC Ambassador

Wines of BC logo

Do you enjoy drinking BC wine, but don’t know that much about what types of wine are made, or the different regions where the wines are made?  And you would feel more confident sharing wine with others, whether you bring a bottle to a party, or you order a bottle of BC wine at a restaurant for your table?  Are you a server at a restaurant that needs to know a bit more about the BC wines that are on your wine list?  If you answered YES to any of these questions, you would benefit by taking the online Wines of British Columbia Ambassador Program Level 1 course.  As the course is online you can take it anywhere you have internet access and some free time.  I took the course this week over a few hours.  You can stop and start the course, so no need to finish it off in one sitting.

Wines of BC Ambassador Program Level 1

What is Covered in the Level 1 Course?

You will learn:

This will give you a good introduction to BC wine. In the course, there are sections to read, videos to watch, plus various charts and maps that show you our BC wine regions and stats.  The course material is easy to understand.  At the end of each module, there are a few quiz questions for you to answer before you can move on to the next module.  You can get a question wrong, and try again till you get it right.  After the last module on BC wine and food pairing, there is a Final Exam to take consisting of 7 questions covering multiple-choice, matching topics to descriptions, and fill in the blanks. You need to get at least 80% to pass the exam and get a printable certificate of completion.  I scored 100% on the Final Exam, so not sure how many times you can retake the exam, but I would guess that more than one attempt is allowed.

Here is the URL to sign up for the Level 1 course.  The course normally costs $75+tax but till April 30, 2022, you can use this PROMO code and get the course for FREE:  BCWINEMONTH

Once you take the course, please post your feedback here.  I’d love to know how much you learned and what you enjoyed the most about the course.  You should be able to tell me who Father Charles Pandosy is, what is the most widely planted red and white grape variety in BC, and much more by the end of the course.  Enjoy.
