Sparkling wine is very versatile to pair with many foods. But some people may not think that applies to Champagne. But it does. Champagne comes in many different styles giving you many opportunities to try a bottle with something that you have for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, or with snacks on your patio. Here are a few suggestions from Comité Champagne.

Champagne offers a wonderful diversity of styles that can be paired with many barbecue staples. Below are some pairing recommendations you might enjoy as you fire up the grill for the holidays:

For an appetizer or a pre-barbecue snack, potato chips are a unique yet perfect pairing with an Extra Brut Champagne.
For the main course, barbecue ribs pair wonderfully with a vintage Brut Champagne. If you are enjoying seafood, a Blanc de Blancs Champagne can be paired with grilled scallops.
For dessert, peach pie pairs nicely with a Rosé Champagne.
If you are interested to learn more about Champagne, you can take the Champagne Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) by the Comité Champagne, which represents the 16,200 growers and 360 houses in Champagne. The classic version is free and is packed with more pairing tips and other fascinating facts about the region and its wines.
